Cookies

Effective · pastetense.app and decryptor.pastetense.app

The short version

Our pages set no cookies and store nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage, no databases, no tracking pixels and no fingerprinting. That's why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to agree to.

This website

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to keep, often to recognise you later. pastetense.app sets none. Its one small script only adds visual touches to the page; it makes no requests and stores nothing. The site loads nothing from anyone else, so no other company can set cookies through it either.

The decryptor

decryptor.pastetense.app sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. The files you open and the password or recovery key you type are held only in the memory of that browser tab, and they are gone when you close it.

Our host, Cloudflare

Both sites are delivered by Cloudflare. As part of protecting websites from abuse, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie in your browser — for example, if it ever decides to check that a visitor is a person rather than an automated tool, it may set a cookie when you pass the check so it doesn't ask again. Such cookies are set by the host for security only; they are not used by us, not used for advertising, and we cannot read them. Cloudflare's documentation describes them; its privacy policy covers how it handles data.

The app

Paste Tense for Mac is not a website and uses no cookies. What it keeps on your Mac — your settings, your history and your keys — is described in the Privacy Policy.

Your control

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time. Our pages work with every cookie blocked; if Cloudflare ever shows a security check, it may need its cookie to let you through.

Changes

If our pages ever start using cookies or browser storage, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy first.
